The New Canadian Food Guide – Can You Lose Weight?

The New Canadian Food Guide has been released for a couple of weeks now. It looks like it has a balanced amount of foods. Proteins, carbs and fruits and vegetables. There are tips on how to make good choices to lead a healthy life. Some examples are cook more often, plan what you will eat. Tips for planning on a budget. The Canadian Food Guide website is quite simple and helpful.

While I was looking through the website, I was started to feel motivated and wanted to see if following the new guide would be satisfying, easy and help me lose weight.  For the next two months I will follow the guide. Tips, Resources, Recipes and all.

  1. Good luck following the guide! Generally I try to eat in balanced way, and for the most part I did not find the information surprising, but am a little sad about the the less prominent place of dairy (because of cheese!) lol

    1. Thanks! The new guide is definitely how more people are choosing to eat. Lol – there should a big slice of the plate for cheese.
